Introducing Our Literacy Mentor Recruitment Campaign

We are in need of Literacy Mentors to expand into two new schools this coming school year, Fall 2024!

Winn Reading has an incredible opportunity to expand into two new Cincinnati Public Schools: Parker Woods Montessori in Cincinnati’s Northside neighborhood and Gamble Montessori in Westwood. But we need additional volunteers to field these opportunities. At Parker Woods, we’re looking specifically for mentors willing to work with fourth-grade students who are not reading at their assigned grade level. Volunteering for just one hour a week as a Literacy Mentor, you have such an opportunity to make an impact in these students’ lives, helping them open doors that may otherwise remain closed. These opportunities are immediately available and are flexible with your schedule It’s a great opportunity for retirees, students and people with flexible work schedules to help support the children in our community!
