Winn Reading Expands Literacy Mentoring to Rothenberg Academy

Winn Reading has partnered with Rothenberg Preparatory Academy to provide vital early literacy support for students in grades K-3. Rothenberg, located in Cincinnati’s Over the Rhine District, is part of the Cincinnati Public School District. As part of our mission to strengthen reading skills among Cincinnati’s most vulnerable young learners, Winn’s trained literacy mentors will begin working with students this spring.

This group of mentors was part of the final Literacy Mentor training class for the 2024-25 school year, and we look forward to launching another training session this summer for volunteers interested in becoming Literacy Mentors for the 2025-26 school year!

Alongside launching the new mentorship program, Winn donated several tote bags filled with self-empowerment books to a Rothenberg third-grade book club. The books were funded through a grant from the Zonta Club of Cincinnati.
