Summertime Kids Grant from The Greater Cincinnati Foundation

Winn Reading Receives Summertime Kids Grant from Greater Cincinnati Foundation to Support Summer Tutoring Program

Cincinnati, Ohio - May 31st 2024 – Winn Reading is thrilled to announce that we have received the Summertime Kids Grant from the Greater Cincinnati Foundation. This generous grant enabled us to continue our mission of improving literacy among children by providing vital tutoring services to 11 of the students we supported during the school year.

Through this grant, students participated in a targeted summer tutoring program, with sessions held for three weeks in June and one week in August. Each student benefited from personalized, one-on-one tutoring once or twice a week, allowing them to maintain and build on the progress they made during the school year.

In addition to academic support, the students enjoyed selecting a new book, a prize, and a snack to take home with them each week, fostering a love of reading and learning.

"Our Literacy Mentors were so excited to see the remarkable progress these students made over the summer," said Kay Limbach, Founder and President at Winn Reading. "This program wouldn't have been possible without the generous support of the Greater Cincinnati Foundation, and we are deeply grateful for their commitment to enhancing children's literacy."

Winn Reading extends its heartfelt thanks to the Greater Cincinnati Foundation for their invaluable support in making this summer tutoring program a success.
